I’d love you to introduce yourself
"Try saying hello to someone who wouldn't expect you to" - John Avery
Hello.
It’s been about 18 months since I moved my writing to Substack and re-focused on the work I’m passionate about. I’ve seen an increase in readers recently so thought it was a good time to introduce myself, and invite you to do the same.
I’m Rachel Ireland. I’m a Third Sector Consultant, helping charities, social enterprises and community groups to launch, secure funding and become sustainable.
Inspiring Positive Impact is a Substack newsletter & YouTube channel where I share training workshops and planning tools to help you make a difference in your community and create social impact.
Writing and creating these resources is my way of giving back, of sharing the knowledge and skills I’ve built up over 18 years of working in the third sector.
My ethics are rooted in paying it forward to those trying to make the world a better place.
For this reason, all of the content here is free to access.
Where I get paid for my consultancy work, the Substack publication and YouTube channel are my voluntary contributions to expand that support beyond those individuals and groups I work with on a one-to-one basis.
I send two emails each month; either an article with accompanying video, or a recorded workshop. You can find an index of all previous posts here.
If you’re starting or running a charity or social enterprise and looking for support, here are three ways I can help:
Find my free and low-cost resources in these articles, videos, books and courses.
For consultancy support, read about my services and fees, then contact me to discuss.
Kirklees-based groups can apply for funded mentoring support by completing this form.

Plus recorded workshops including:
I live and work in the beautiful West Yorkshire countryside, taking daily walks with my whippet, Penny, and kept very happily busy by my partner, Caroline and two pre-teen sons. I’m also hugely passionate about planning, journaling and productivity, and a little addicted to buying stationery.
I’d love you to introduce yourself in the comments below, or by replying to me directly.
Wherever you are on your own journey, I hope you find something here that inspires you.
