Asking mum about purpose, kindness & regret
“Your acts of kindness are iridescent wings of divine love, which linger and continue to uplift others long after your sharing” – Rumi
For a long time I've had this idea about interviewing or having conversations with the people who inspire me; the people I've met throughout my career, who have impacted me in the way that they go about their work and their purpose.
But then in thinking about having those conversations with people I realised I had to start with the person who kicked this all off for me. My mum to me is my absolute role model, she's somebody who I don't think many of us can hope to live up to in terms of that level of kindness and generosity. So this is quite a special thing for me to do.
I'm very close to my mum. We speak almost daily but we don't necessarily have these deeper conversations about purpose and meaning and what you want your contribution in the world to be and so I was really excited to have that conversation with her. I hope that it inspires you and I hope you enjoy it.

P.s. if you get the chance to ask the people you admire these questions, ask them - it might just change your life.
