An invitation to reflect on your motivation
January 2026
šš» Hello!
Happy New Year everyone. I hope your January is going well.
This month Iāve been refreshing my practice around the public sector tender process, which I used to do full-time back in my days with The Kingās Trust, but am most often to be found working on Trusts & Foundations these days. It was nice to work on something a little more substantial, even though the early January deadline was one way to wake us all up after the Christmas holidays!
Iāve been fortunate to work with many founders of charities and social enterprises throughout my career, and itās always really meaningful to be there right at the beginning, so itās meant a lot to be invited to be part of the launch team at a wonderful new charity, The Three Nines Childrenās Charity, as it navigates its first year supporting children and young people affected by crime.
Iāve also been getting stuck into all things data this month, as I begin to specialise a little more in how charities use data to evidence need and impact, doing some training in data analytics and testing out my knowledge on some pilot projects.

How can I serve?
For those of us working for social impact, in not-for-profit organisations, those of us who are driven by making a difference, by somehow taking what we know or love or have experienced and using it for good, I think itās an important question.
In this video I share a series of questions designed to help you take a broader view and to reflect on your motivation.
š Courses
A Creative Journey to Impact is a practical yet reflective course designed to help you move from ideas to action. Using the Reflect, Plan, Act framework, youāll clarify your values, define your goals, and develop a meaningful plan to create change in your community or organisation. Whether youāre at the idea stage or already working on a project, this course will help you reflect on your vision, plan effectively, and take meaningful action.
š§© Services
I work with charities, social enterprises, and community groups from project foundations through to funding applications and impact reporting.
If youāre working on something and need a bit of support or clarity, youāre very welcome to get in touch.
Rachel
